About
Dr. Chapman is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery with particular expertise in surgical diseases of the orbit. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology and Neurosciences, Dr. Chapman completed her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Following her medical training, she completed an internship at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a University of Virginia affiliate program, and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia before pursuing advanced fellowship training in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Orbital Diseases at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Since establishing her practice in Sarasota, Florida in 1997, Dr. Chapman has built a reputation for surgical excellence and meticulous attention to detail. Her clinical expertise encompasses the full spectrum of oculoplastic surgery, including cosmetic and functional upper and lower eyelid procedures, brow lifting and rejuvenation, facial and periorbital skin cancer excision with reconstruction, tear drainage surgery, orbital and facial fracture repair, and the surgical management of thyroid eye disease. This comprehensive skill set allows her to address both the aesthetic and functional concerns of her patients with sophistication and precision. Beyond surgical intervention, Dr. Chapman offers a range of nonsurgical aesthetic treatments, including injectables such as Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, and Restylane, as well as Sculptra Aesthetic for longer-lasting facial rejuvenation. Her expertise in aesthetic medicine is so widely recognized that she has served as a National Education Faculty Member for Botox Cosmetic, educating fellow physicians in the art and science of injectable aesthetics.
