About
Dr. Saks specializes in all aspects of oculoplastic disorders and surgery. His clinical interests are: the correction of drooping or otherwise malpositioned eyelids, ophthalmic complications of Graves disease and treatment of tearing problems caused by lacrimal system disorders. Dr. Saks performs cosmetic and functional surgery of the eyelids, brow, and midface, as well as BOTOX injections for both aesthetic rejuvenation and spasm disorders. In addition, he is also a skilled oculoplastic trauma surgeon and is experienced in orbital fracture repair. He is knowledgeable in both medical and surgical treatment of orbital disease, as well as reconstructive surgery for tumor resection involving the eyelids, orbits, and skin. Dr. Saks is also an experienced cosmetic injector of Restylane and Juvederm fillers, and performs Botox injections for both aesthetic rejuvenation and spasm disorders. Education: Dr. Saks completed a fellowship accredited by the American Society Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and is currently one of the few surgeons in the northwest suburbs who has the specific training and expertise to be included in that exclusive society. He earned his degree in ophthalmology at the UIC Eye Center, where he was also chief resident. Hospital Affiliations: He performs surgery at Golf Surgical Center in Des Plaines, Arlington Heights Surgery Center in Arlington Heights, and Hoffman Estates Surgery Center in Hoffman Estates, and is credentialed at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, and St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
